Cara Delevingne For Topshop

Fashion IT girl Cara Delevigne, has just landed her first first ever solo campaign for Topshop! This isn’t the first time the quirky supermodel has been involved with the highstreel giants. She’s walked in their Unique shows and she also appeared in the Kate Moss campaign back in 2010. I’m super excited about this collection because she’s definitely my favourite model. She’s juggled a gazillion things this year and still manages to keep things fun and bizarre. She’s just a ball of positive energy! Other than the fact that she has the most perfect eyebrows, she’s also got the voice of angel. Do you remember her duet with Will Heard? It was on repeat on my iPod for ages. (Listen to it here)

Sir Philip Green commented on the campaign saying “It (was) fitting to have a fabulous, young British star such as Cara at the epicentre of our campaign. I am hopeful and confident that this will be the beginning of another strong relationship for TOPSHOP.”

The collection is in Topshop stores now.

Lottie Moss, Kate Moss’s half-sister, signs with modeling agency.

So it looks like Lottie Moss (her real name is Charlotte Moss), Kate Moss’s half sister, has been signed to Storm Model Management. At 16 years old, she’s 5.5 ft (Kate’s 5.8 ft!) and has the same high cheek bones as Kate. She first came to the attention of scouts at age13, but her mother insisted she was too young to make a decision to sign her to the agency. She celebrated by posting her portfolio picture on twitter a few days ago. Congratulations little Moss! <3

Stay Junior.

I sat down with the super cool Yasmine Al Naif to discuss the launch of her new line, “Juniors be Junior”. We talked about her plans for 2014, the launch of her new website, and why London is her favourite city.

Stay Junior Kids.

What inspired you to start your own collection of snap backs and bominner jackets?

Well, what inspired me to start the brand Juniors Be Junior was a love I have for simple urban fashion accessories. Then realising that there is a lack of online platforms for people, ultimately males, to buy funky/edgy, affordable staple items.  So with these two thoughts in mind, it just made sense to create them myself.  The first two products I’ve started with are snap backs and Bominner Jackets which will be followed by a range of hoodies, socks, boxers and… you’ll have to go to the website to find out.

What does Juniors be Junior stand for as a brand and what was behind the name?

The brand really is all in the name.  Juniors Be Junior is hip, playful and aims at keeping everyone looking lively and .. obviously Junior.  All of the JBJ pieces will energise your look and keep you looking up to date.  All the time.

How would you describe your own personal style?

Always comfortable – A bit of boho chic – Edgy?  How would YOU describe my style Striped and Spotted? You’re the fashionista.

We saw a sneak peek of your JBJ photo shoot and everything looks fantastic! What are your plans for the brand in 2014?

In 2014, the website will be launched, new products will be introduced and some crazy collaborations will be taking place.  You should definitely join us on set for the next shoot because the last one was really fun!

Where are your designs sold?

At the moment you can contact me directly for orders/purchases: You can see all products on the Facebook page ‘Juniors Be Junior’. The website will be launched by the end of February 2014 with global shipping.  Boutiques in Dubai/London so far will be stocking the products, and i’ll be announcing where next month.

What are you listening to these days?

Golden Silvers, The Purple Bottle, Steak Knives, Lorde, Mr SoMo.

What is your favourite city and why?

London. I love winter and in London its winter 90% of the time. I always find something new to do, somewhere interesting to eat, a new beautiful street that i’ve never seen before… and you meet people from every corner of the globe. Its also where I consider home.

Kate Moss is back for Topshop Collaboration!

Our high street queen is back in the Topshop saddle after a three year break! Kate Moss is in London right now working alongside Topshop’s creative director Kate Phelan to launch her collection this coming April. It’ll feature around 40 pieces inspired by the super model’s personal wardrobe; as was the case with her previous Topshop collections.

“I have really missed being involved in the design process, and working with the team at Topshop,” Moss said in a statement. “Now more than ever, with London being at the forefront of fashion…it feels like I’m back home working with Topshop.”

All of these high street collaborations are getting me super excited.

And this is why I love TOPSHOP!

24J47EOXB_large How amazing is this patent “croc” bag in maroon? I mean you can seriously get away with it. Wear it over a denim jacket and skinny black jeans with your Chloe ankle boots for that downtown look.

It’s only £38.00.

Nicholas Kirkwood for #LFW

Who better to design the London Fashion Week creative than Nicholas Kirkwood? The bright and geometric shapes on banners featuring the LFW logo are splashed across London. ‘It’s wonderful to be able to collaborate with designers on the London Fashion Week creative – it brings a personal element and a new, exciting dimension to each season,’ said Caroline Rush, CEO of the British Fashion Council. ‘Nicholas’s creative vision: a bold palette, sharp graphic lines and his signature chevron pattern, have real impact.’

The “Lucky” Collection by Carolina Bucci

14lucky-SLIDE“Recalling the simple cotton bracelets that she exhcanged with friends on the beach as a little girl, Caroline Bucci designed the Lucky collection to capture the spirit of childhood friendship within the world of fine jewellery. Just double knot and make a wish!”

I stumbled upon Carolina Bucci only last year in the fine jewelry department at Harrods. I fell in love with the intricate woven bracelets, which are made from gold and silk threads. She’s a pioneer in the world of fine jewelry, pushing the boundaries and redefining what fine jewelry is. She gave classic gold bracelets a young fresh lift by combining bright colours and a “stacking feel” that generally only young people can relate to. Visit her website to check out her other collection, which are equally as gorgeous.

The LFW scehdule is out!

london fashion week 2013

The London Fashion Week schedule is finally out, and you can check it out here! But guess what? Manolo Blahnik has teamed up with the British Fashion Council to design all the creative imagery for 2013’s most important week in fashion! All the official campaign imagery has been designed by Blahnik himself, including the LFW banner above. We love the cute sketches on the trees!
